Position: Rural GP

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a full-time Rural GP to join our team in Kilcoy, Queensland. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing primary healthcare services to the local community, including general consultations, chronic disease management, and emergency care.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct general consultations and provide comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages

- Manage and treat acute and chronic illnesses, including but not limited to diabetes, hypertension, and respiratory conditions

- Perform minor procedures and basic emergency care

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for patients

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records

- Participate in on-call and after-hours roster as required

- Educate patients on preventive healthcare measures and promote healthy lifestyle choices

- Actively participate in continuing education and professional development activities

- Adhere to all relevant medical standards, guidelines, and protocols

Requirements:

- Medical degree from a recognized institution

- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a GP, preferably in a rural setting

- Proficient in general practice procedures and emergency care

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

- Strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care

- Willingness to relocate to Kilcoy, Queensland
