GPC Philippines Corporation is currently seeking a Senior Bookkeeper. This position will be working from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm Philippine Time and applicable for Philippine-based candidates only.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to maintain accurate financial records for our clients. While this is not a people management role, the ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of bookkeeping principles, proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop and Online) and Xero, and experience in reviewing and guiding the work of others. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Record Management: Maintain accurate records of financial transactions for assigned clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
  • Account Reconciliation: Perform and review reconciliations of bank and credit card statements, ensuring accuracy and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Report Generation: Prepare and present clear and concise financial reports, such as balance sheets and profit and loss statements, for client review.
  • Software Utilization: Utilize and optimize QuickBooks (Desktop and Online), Xero, and other relevant accounting software tools (e.g., Bill.com, Clio, Auth.net) to ensure efficient and accurate financial reporting.
  • Compliance Support: Assist with tax preparation and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Team Leadership: Review and provide feedback on the work of junior team members, ensuring accuracy and adherence to best practices.
  • Client Communication: Serve as a point of contact for assigned clients, addressing inquiries and providing updates on their financial records.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 7 years of bookkeeping experience, with a proven track record of managing complex financial tasks and providing guidance to others. Prior remote work experience is a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in QuickBooks (Desktop and Online) and Xero
    • Familiarity with accounting software integrations (e.g., Bill.com, Clio, Auth.net)
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and meticulousness in financial record-keeping.
  • Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and team members.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to provide constructive feedback and guidance to junior team members.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
  • Confidentiality: Demonstrated integrity and discretion in handling sensitive financial information.
