GPC Philippines Corporation is currently seeking a Senior Accountant. This position will work from 12:00 am to 9:00 AM PHT and applies only to Philippine-based legal residents and citizens.

Work time will shift to better hours over time.


Job Description

The Senior Accountant will support the accounting function for a small but fast-growing platform company serving approximately 30 bookkeeping clients, primarily insurance agents. This is a hands-on role requiring deep expertise in QuickBooks Online, strong US GAAP knowledge, and a solid understanding of full-cycle accounting. The Senior Accountant will handle real accounting work across multiple clients, including invoicing, cash flow tracking, profitability monitoring, and driving internal team efficiency. The role will also include forward-facing client work, with about 25 percent of time dedicated to client consultations and support for strategic financial planning, including Profit First rollouts. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and capable of working independently in a high-volume environment with both tactical and strategic responsibilities. As the company continues to grow, the Senior Accountant will play a key role in stabilizing systems and processes and will have opportunities for future leadership development.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle accounting for assigned clients, including AP, AR, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Handle QuickBooks Online setup, clean-up, and daily management for multiple clients.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes and deliver accurate financial reports.
  • Provide recommendations for financial process improvements and client performance insights.
  • Support client consultations and assist with the implementation of Profit First financial strategies.
  • Review dashboards, KPIs, and profitability tracking for clients and communicate actionable recommendations.
  • Maintain compliance with US GAAP, revenue recognition, lease accounting, and other accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with leadership and internal teams to improve accounting workflows and internal efficiency.
  • Communicate directly with clients as needed to ensure service quality and accurate financial reporting.


Qualifications:

  • CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with recent experience in full-cycle accounting.
  • Advanced expertise in QuickBooks Online is required.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace tools.
  • Experience supporting small business clients, particularly in the insurance or service sectors, is highly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive and self-directed with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
