Location: Boston Metro Area, MA (Flex)

Pay Rate: $22/hour
Position Overview
Are you passionate about cycling and eager to create a positive impact in your community? Join the team as an Outreach Leader, where you'll champion bike sharing as a fun, sustainable, and equitable transportation option across Greater Boston. This role is ideal for outgoing, energetic individuals who enjoy engaging with diverse communities and inspiring others to embrace cycling.
As a key representative of the brand, you will promote memberships, assist with registration, and educate the public about the benefits of bike sharingespecially focusing on accessibility through income-eligible programs.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as a friendly, enthusiastic ambassador for the company at stations, community events, organized rides, and public gatherings throughout the Boston area.

Support the Outreach Team in planning and executing successful events that increase awareness, accessibility, and membership.

Educate community members about the company's system, including kiosk use, mobile app features, and key fob access.

Provide one-on-one assistance to individuals enrolling in income-eligible programs, such as the Boston Bikes Pass.

Lead mini group rides and demonstrations to introduce participants to the joy and ease of biking with our products.

Collect event feedback, track participation, and ensure all logistics run smoothly.

Promote the ease and fun of bike sharing by demonstrating how to check bikes in and out of docking stations.

Maintain flexibility in scheduling, including availability for evening and weekend events.

Assist with additional outreach and support tasks as needed, always with a positive, can-do attitude.
Qualifications & Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Reside in or be able to travel throughout the Bluebikes service area in the Boston Metro area.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physical environment including standing for long periods, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Strong communication skills; able to engage respectfully and effectively with people of all ages, cultural backgrounds, abilities, economic statuses, and identities.

Outgoing, personable, and confident speaking in public and interacting with strangers.

Comfortable riding Bluebikes and promoting bike use as a practical form of transportation.

Dependable, punctual, and a self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision.

Willing to take direction and quickly learn key facts about the Bluebikes system.

Demonstrates strong teamwork, leadership potential, and customer service orientation.

Adaptable and solution-oriented with strong attention to detail.

Previous experience in outreach, customer service, community engagement, or leadership is a plus.
