Job Description
Summary
Responsible for coordinating cargo bookings and managing import and export documentation in accordance with established company policies and regulatory requirements. This includes responsibilities in cargo booking, customer service, and documentation.
General Responsibilities
Coordinate cargo movements in collaboration with intermodal, equipment, and traffic departments. Process accurate and timely booking requests. Collect, reconcile, consolidate, and summarize documents and customer information. Verify, process, and confirm submitted data to ensure proper documentation and bill of lading workflows.
Review and apply correct rates to bills of lading based on applicable tariffs, ensuring timely and accurate billing while maintaining compliance with regulations. Confirm the accuracy and timely completion of Bills of Lading and/or Truck Bills and ensure prompt invoice delivery. Collaborate with the pricing department to verify and process rate requests. Respond to customer inquiries, make booking adjustments, and resolve documentation errors.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary coursework and job-related training preferred.
Experience
0 to 1 year of general office experience. Experience in the transportation industry is preferred.
Technical Proficiency
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
