Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced GCP Network Architect (L4) to design, deploy, and maintain secure and scalable network infrastructures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will ensure seamless connectivity for cloud-based applications, uphold security standards, and drive network performance optimization using modern tools and automation practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Architecture & Design:

  • Design and implement scalable and secure network architectures within GCP (including VPCs, subnets, and IP schemas).

  • Define and manage network segmentation, firewall policies, and security zones according to organizational requirements.

Cloud Network Deployment:

  • Deploy and configure GCP network components such as:

    • Cloud Load Balancing

    • Cloud VPN

    • Cloud Interconnect

    • Cloud DNS

  • Establish global private connectivity between on-premises infrastructure and GCP.

Security & Compliance:

  • Apply GCP security best practices, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), data encryption, and firewall configurations.

  • Design and implement secure communication channels using Cloud VPN or Dedicated Interconnect.

Troubleshooting & Performance Optimization:

  • Monitor, analyze, and resolve network-related issues to ensure minimal latency and maximum uptime.

  • Tune configurations for optimized throughput and low packet loss.

  • Maintain documentation for network designs, deployment processes, and incident resolution.

Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

  • Automate networking tasks using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Google Cloud Deployment Manager.

  • Develop scripts for routine operations such as scaling networks or updating firewall rules.

Required Skills & Technologies:

GCP Networking Services:

  • Virtual Private Cloud (VPC)

  • Cloud VPN & Cloud Interconnect

  • Cloud DNS & Private Google Access

  • Cloud Load Balancing

  • Cloud Armor & Firewall Rules

Core Networking Concepts:

  • Subnetting, IP addressing, and routing protocols

  • NAT, load balancing, and content delivery networks (CDNs)

  • Network security protocols (SSL/TLS, IPsec)

Automation Tools & Scripting:

  • Terraform, Ansible, Google Cloud Deployment Manager

  • Scripting skills (Python, Shell)

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Google Professional Cloud Network Engineer (strongly preferred)

  • Google Associate Cloud Engineer

  • Additional certifications such as CCNA, or AWS Certified Advanced Networking Specialty are a plus
