Shane Martin is a Los Angeles-based serial entrepreneur who owns and operates Paperboy Studios, a growth marketing agency for award-winning authors, public speakers, and coaches. The agency specializes in growing subscriber bases for newsletters, helping clients like Ramit Sethi, Dr. Benjamin Hardy, Sahil Bloom and more. Paperboy Studios is dedicated to enhancing the influence and success of its clients through tailored marketing strategies.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Virtual Assistant who aligns with our core values: Empower Your Team, Foster Meaningful Relationships, Seek Continuous Improvement, and Balance Work and Leisure. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, tech-savvy, and ready to take on a variety of responsibilities to support Shane Martin and ensure the smooth operation of daily tasks.

As our Virtual Assistant, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the CEO
  • Manage the CEO's email inbox and calendar, prioritizing and responding as necessary
  • Facilitate the efficient flow of information to and from the CEO
  • Attend CEO meetings, take detailed notes, and follow up on action items
  • Prepare and format internal and external communications
  • Coordinate travel arrangements
  • Ensure timely completion of tasks and maintain an organized task list
  • Process the CEOs voice messages
  • Review Slack channels to address conversations/requests
  • Attend and participate actively in company meetings
  • Provide feedback and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Track ongoing tasks and projects, and close loops with quick Slack recaps
  • Assist with weekly planning and offer assistance if needed
  • Participate in stand-up meetings with the CEO

You must come ready to quickly learn and be trained on these tools:

  • Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Calendar)
  • Slack
  • Notion

Position Details:

  • This is a remote 1099 contractor position
  • The position will be 15-20 hours per week with potential to increase to 30-40 hours in 6 months
  • Flexible hours - Monday to Friday, with availability needed at specific times to manage the email inbox and attend meetings
  • Pay rate is $25/hr. USD
  • Were looking for someone to become a long-term (3+ years) team member
