This hybrid position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated bankruptcy and restructuring matters while collaborating with leading practitioners in the field.

Job Responsibilities

• Represent diverse clients including debtors, ad hoc committees, statutory committees, secured creditors, and asset purchasers in complex Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings
• Handle out-of-court restructuring transactions and workouts, including cross-border restructuring matters
• Conduct sophisticated legal research and draft compelling motions, briefs, and transactional documents
• Participate in deposition and trial preparation as needed
• Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice groups and offices on integrated legal solutions
• Manage multiple restructuring projects simultaneously while meeting critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Serve as an integral member of high-performing, collaborative deal teams
• Provide strategic counsel on distressed M&A transactions and asset sales

Job Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a top 50 ABA-accredited law school
• 2-4 years of restructuring and bankruptcy law experience
• Active membership in the New York State Bar in good standing
• Previous experience at an AmLaw 200 law firm required
• Proven track record of academic and professional excellence
• Exceptional legal research, analytical, and writing abilities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in team environments
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex matters with minimal supervision
• Deposition and trial experience preferred but not required
