The Opportunity

A global Tier 1 & 2 automotive supplier with nearly 60 plants and over 7,000 employees worldwide is adding a Plant Controller to their highly profitable Chattanooga facility. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you'll serve as the financial lead and strategic business partner for the full plant operation. Your Day-to-Day

  • Lead all financial functions at the plant level, including cost accounting, general accounting, product costing, capacity planning, and time studies
  • Manage payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets
  • Analyze operating costs and variances, delivering timely financial reviews and progress reports to plant management
  • Develop, maintain, and improve forecasting and budgeting models
  • Prepare special studies, regulatory reports, and fiscal year-end audit binders
  • Work directly with external auditors and coordinate company account audits
  • Support TQM and Best Methods initiatives as a contributing member of the plant management team
  • Supervise two direct reports: a Senior Accountant and an Accounting Clerk

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience; a fifth-year college certificate or 2–4 years of related experience is the baseline
  • Demonstrated ability to manage plant-level accounting operations including cost accounting and financial reporting
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify variances, and communicate findings clearly to management
  • Proficiency in financial systems maintenance and process improvement
  • Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll systems, and fixed assets
  • Ability to prepare reports required by regulatory agencies and support audit processes
  • Clear, confident communication skills across all levels of a manufacturing organization
