Your Day-to-Day
- Plan and deliver instruction using adult learning principles across theory and clinical settings
- Supervise and evaluate student clinical experiences, providing immediate feedback on performance
- Collaborate with fellow instructors to prepare, administer, and grade exams and contribute to final course evaluations
- Track and submit class attendance, grades, and student records including skills check-offs
- Select clinical assignments that align with student learning outcomes and facility requirements
- Verify that clinical sites meet all health and safety standards
- Plan and conduct orientation for new faculty in both theory and clinical instruction
- Use and adopt online tools to enhance course content and interactive teaching methods
- Assist with strategic planning, assessment of instructional initiatives, and program data collection
- Submit required program reports and forms on time
- Maintain regular availability for students through office hours, email, and advising
- Participate in program-supporting committees and attend faculty meetings
- Stay current with new technologies and safety regulations relevant to nursing education
What We're Looking For
- Valid, active Registered Nurse license issued by the State Board
- Master's degree in Nursing (or higher) from an accredited institution, including coursework in nursing, education, administration, OB, Pediatrics, or Psychiatry
- At least 4 years of direct patient care experience as a registered nurse
- At least 1 year of clinical experience within the last 5 years (clinical teaching counts toward direct patient care)
- Clinical competency per CCR Section 1420(c)
- Expertise in Pediatrics or OB-GYN
