Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute and chronic pain conditions
- Perform advanced interventional pain management procedures including epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation, and spinal cord stimulation
- Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs
- Utilize non-interventional pain management techniques including medication management and physical rehabilitation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapists, orthopedic surgeons, and primary care physicians
- Educate patients and families on pain management strategies, treatment options, and long-term wellness
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records and clinical documentation
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with best practices in pain medicine
Qualifications and Requirements
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Pain Medicine or Anesthesiology with Pain Medicine fellowship
- Active and unrestricted New York State medical license or eligibility to obtain
- Valid DEA license with X-waiver preferred
- Completion of accredited Pain Medicine fellowship program
- Strong clinical skills in interventional and non-interventional pain management techniques
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills
