The Opportunity

You will lead and shape a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, directly influencing how the next generation of healthcare professionals is educated and prepared for practice. As Campus Dean, you hold full oversight of the BSN program — from curriculum development and clinical partnerships to faculty leadership and student outcomes. This is a senior nursing education leadership role where your decisions drive program quality, NCLEX pass rates, and graduate success.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Own the full BSN program — supervise planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of all nursing program activities
  • Manage the program budget, faculty and staff, clinical site relationships, and curriculum delivery
  • Build and maintain clinical partnerships — negotiate contracts, coordinate student placements, faculty assignments, schedules, and rotations, and submit all required BRN approval forms
  • Ensure regulatory compliance — prepare state and Board reports, proposals, self-studies, surveys, and site visit materials
  • Lead faculty operations — recruit, hire, orient, and evaluate nursing faculty; facilitate regular faculty meetings and handle conflict resolution
  • Champion student success — oversee admissions, orientation, academic advising, degree planning, appeals, and grievance processes
  • Track and report outcomes — monitor NCLEX pass rates, student performance, and job placement data
  • Conduct or delegate clinical site evaluations covering objectives, safety, risk, hazards, and staffing adequacy; ensure post-rotation evaluations are completed and summarized
  • Write articulation agreements with colleges for course transfer into the nursing program
  • Represent the nursing program across college departments and within the broader community through advocacy, marketing, and professional association involvement
  • Lead Nursing Advisory Committee meetings and maintain inter-agency meeting minutes

What We're Looking For

  • Current RN license in the state where the campus is located
  • Master's degree or higher from an accredited institution, with coursework in nursing, education, or administration
  • Minimum 2 years in an administrative leadership position
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in pre- or post-licensure nursing programs
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care or equivalent experience as determined by the Board
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Collaborative leadership style that emphasizes teamwork and consensus-building
  • Experience in supervision, strategic planning, and budget preparation
  • Proficiency with computer-based resources
  • Commitment to diversity as defined by state law
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people and institutions
