The Opportunity
A premier health organization is seeking a skilled Polysomnography Technologist to perform overnight sleep studies and help diagnose sleep disorders in a state-of-the-art Sleep Disorder Center. You'll deliver compassionate patient care and make a direct impact on health outcomes in a collaborative clinical setting. This is a full-time, direct hire position.

Your Day-to-Day
Patient Setup & Education
- Collect and assess medical, emotional, and social history relevant to testing
- Educate patients on testing procedures before, during, and after the study
- Prepare, calibrate, and apply sensors and electrodes to ensure accurate data capture
- Fit PAP masks and perform mask troubleshooting
Conducting Sleep Studies
- Administer a range of tests including PSG, MSLT, MWT, PAP titrations, and oxygen studies
- Monitor and adjust equipment for clean, artifact-free signal acquisition
- Record clinical events, behavior, and any protocol deviations
- Deliver age-appropriate care for patients across all life stages
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Score sleep stages and clinical events following standardized guidelines
- Generate precise, actionable reports for physician interpretation
Compliance, Equipment & Safety
- Maintain and calibrate sleep study equipment
- Follow safety and infection control procedures (Exposure Category I)
- Support quality assurance and performance improvement activities
- Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and team members
What We're Looking For
- Associate degree or higher in Polysomnography, Respiratory Therapy, or Nursing
- Must be eligible for or hold RPSGT certification (within 18 months of hire)
- Valid NYS license: Respiratory Therapist, Respiratory Technician, or Polysomnographic Technologist
- BLS certification required within 90 days of hire; ACLS preferred
- Regularly required to stand, reach, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Must have clear vision, hearing, and manual dexterity for technical tasks
