Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct antitrust analysis and investigations related to civil conduct, mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures
  • Litigate antitrust matters including Section 1, Section 2, and Section 7 cases in federal courts nationwide
  • Draft substantive motions, briefs, and legal memoranda for DOJ and FTC antitrust proceedings
  • Represent clients in Department of Justice, Federal Trade Commission, FCC, and state attorney general investigations
  • Participate in depositions, witness preparation, and witness interviews
  • Provide antitrust compliance counseling on product pricing, distribution, and competition matters
  • Defend companies in civil antitrust conduct investigations and merger challenges
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex antitrust issues and regulatory compliance

Required Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited top 50 law school
  • Active bar membership in good standing in DC Bar or New York Bar (depending on office location)
  • 3-5 years of antitrust law experience at the Department of Justice Antitrust Division, Federal Trade Commission, active state attorney general antitrust bureau, or AmLaw 200 law firm
  • Proven experience handling DOJ or FTC antitrust matters and civil antitrust litigation
  • Demonstrated track record of insightful legal research, analysis, and persuasive legal writing
  • Experience drafting substantive motions and appellate briefs in antitrust cases
  • Strong deposition and witness interview skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in telecommunications and internet antitrust matters
  • Background in merger control and HSR Act compliance
  • Criminal antitrust investigation experience

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $260,000 - $365,000 annually, plus bonus.
