Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage assigned engineering projects from inception through completion, ensuring quality deliverables and timeline adherence
- Develop comprehensive project requirements to resolve complex product and process engineering challenges
- Design and engineer mechanical systems for prototype, pre-commercial, and new commercial products in an advanced product development environment
- Conduct technical investigations, finite element analysis, and prepare detailed design specifications and engineering analyses
- Utilize SolidWorks and ANSYS software to create innovative mechanical designs optimized for manufacturing
- Support new product development initiatives for advanced mixing systems and processing solutions
- Present engineering recommendations and design proposals to management for approval and implementation
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship on mechanical design projects for industrial manufacturing applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver quality products to global industrial manufacturing customers
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution (preferred)
- Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in mechanical design and product development
- Proven expertise with SolidWorks CAD software for mechanical design applications
- Advanced proficiency in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) methodologies
- Demonstrated experience with ANSYS simulation software (required)
- Strong technical leadership background with preference for design-for-manufacturing experience
- Track record of successfully leading mechanical engineering projects from concept to commercialization
- Must be a U.S. Citizen due to the nature of the work and project requirements
- Excellent communication skills for presenting technical recommendations to management and stakeholders
