Pulmonary Critical Care Physician - Board Certified/Board Eligible | Finger Lakes, NY
A premier healthcare organization in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of New York State is seeking a dedicated and skilled Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Physician to join our team. Position Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with pulmonary disorders including asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, and pulmonary hypertension
- Deliver critical care services to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests and diagnostic procedures including bronchoscopy
- Conduct consultations for both inpatient and outpatient pulmonary and critical care conditions
- Participate in multidisciplinary ICU rounds with healthcare team members
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and allied health professionals
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs
- Participate in continuing medical education and academic teaching opportunities
- Provide on-call coverage as part of a physician rotation schedule
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of accredited residency in Internal Medicine
- Completion of accredited fellowship in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care
- Active and unrestricted medical license in New York State or eligibility to obtain
- Valid DEA license or ability to obtain
- Strong clinical skills in pulmonary diagnostics and critical care management
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred
- New graduates and experienced physicians are encouraged to apply
