Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant
Job Description:
Dallas-Fort Worth Area, TX | $95/hr (1099)
The Opportunity
You'll practice emergency medicine in a high-volume Level IV Trauma Center located in the Dallas-Fort Worth suburbs. This ED sees 34,000 patients annually, and you'll work structured 10-hour shifts using Epic EMR alongside a collaborative team. This is a 1099 contractor position offering strong hourly compensation and schedule predictability.
Your Day-to-Day
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients across a full spectrum of emergency presentations in a 34,000-visit-per-year ED
- Perform procedures and make clinical decisions independently within a Level IV Trauma Center framework
- Document efficiently using Epic EMR to maintain throughput in a high-volume environment
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and ancillary teams to deliver timely, high-quality emergency care
- Work structured 10-hour shifts within a consistent departmental schedule
What We're Looking For
- Licensure: Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with active Texas license or ability to obtain
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent hospital emergency medicine experience
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS required
- Clinical Fit: Comfortable managing high patient volumes and working independently in an emergency department setting
