About the job Accountant
1. Handle full spectrum of accounting functions, including preparation of financial and management reports, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, as well as banking and taxation matters.
2. Oversee and support statutory audit activities to ensure timely and accurate completion.
3. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax agents, bankers, company secretaries, and legal advisors, to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
4. Identify, report, and highlight any non-compliance issues, procedural gaps, or anomalies in financial statements.
5. Provide financial insights and analysis to support business operations and data-driven decision-making.
6. Review and monitor project costing to ensure accuracy and profitability control.
7. Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal control guidelines.
8. Analyze monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial performance, and recommend improvements and cost optimization measures.
9. Strengthen internal control systems and conduct process reviews to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness in line with company objectives.
10. Analyze revenue, liabilities, credit conditions, and other financial indicators to forecast short-, medium-, and long-term cash flow positions; evaluate and recommend suitable investments, funding sources, and financial instruments.
11. Review tax estimations to ensure accuracy, avoid penalties, and optimize tax exposure, and support timely submission of tax returns.
12. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial planning activities.
13. Support applications for government grants and related financial incentives.
14. Collaborate closely with other departments to support business and operational requirements.
15. Safeguard financial documents and records to ensure proper control, confidentiality, and easy retrieval when required.
16. To comply with all requirements of ISO meeting requirements of ISO (inclusive of all standards approved by the Management) and to adhere to general safety practices, standard operating procedure, work instructions, policies and guidelines provided by the company.
17. Other duties and assignments as instructed by superiors from time to time.
