Our community is growing by nearly 200 new members each week, fueled by corporate and philanthropic supporters eager to expand their reach and deepen their impact. As such, RTC is primed for purpose-driven growth and we're seeking a bold, values-aligned Lifecycle Marketing Manager to help lead us into this next wave of innovation, belonging, and influence.

The Lifecycle Marketing Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the entire membership journey. This position will spearhead the creation and execution of integrated digital marketing campaigns to attract leads, boost engagement, and nurture relationships with current and prospective members from initial contact through long-term loyalty and advocacy. The Lifecycle Marketing Manager will also support overall business growth by positioning RTC as the premier organization for mentorship, community, and industry access for women in tech.

Essential Functions

Campaign Development + Execution

  • Design and implement integrated marketing campaigns that drive member acquisition, activation, and engagement for RTCs women in tech community utilizing CRM, email, and other member-facing channels.
  • Leverage member insights to build tailored and impactful campaigns; manage audience segmentation, targeting strategies, campaign logic, and digital deployment to ensure personalized communication that addresses the unique needs and behaviors of our community members.
  • Collaborate with contractors, external creative teams, and internal stakeholders to design and produce high-quality and measurable content for member communications and channels that supports marketing campaigns as well as educate and engage the community.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of marketing trends, tools, and best practices through research and participation in relevant training, education, and networking opportunities to improve marketing strategies and drive business results. 

Engagement + Retention

  • Design and implement comprehensive lifecycle strategies, including member journey maps, to guide members from initial awareness through to long-term engagement and loyalty, optimizing each stage of the member experience.
  • Oversee the member communications calendar, including nurture and trigger streams, ensuring timely and relevant communication based on lifecycle stages.
  • Develop and manage automated marketing workflows and personalized messaging to streamline processes and enhance communication efficiency.
  • Partner with the Marketing team to activate and deepen engagement with our network of members, volunteers, mentors, and partners to build vibrant member communities through Slack and other community engagement platforms, ensuring cohesive messaging and integrated campaigns.

Performance Analysis + Data Reporting

  • Monitor and analyze the prospect pipeline and lead lifecycle for RTC, focusing on lead size, value, cost, and attribution from various sources to refine marketing strategies and maintain database accuracy.
  • Use analytics tools to monitor and evaluate marketing campaign performance; use response data and test results to forecast, track key metrics, and report on overall campaign effectiveness and KPI impact; continuously seek out opportunities to expand RTCs reach and improve marketing programs.
  • Connect marketing efforts with a deep understanding of the ecosystem and organizational context to provide the Marketing and Senior Leadership team with data-driven recommendations and actionable insights to guide strategic decision-making based on marketing insights and performance metrics.

Required Qualifications + Key Competencies

Education + Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration or related field, preferred. Five (5) years of marketing experience, within the tech and/or a member-based association preferred; with at least two (2) years of direct lifecycle marketing experience.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, Seven (7) years of marketing experience, within the tech and/or a member-based association preferred; with at least two (2) years of direct lifecycle marketing experience.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing integrated B2C and B2B marketing campaigns that drive member/partner acquisition and retention while resonating with a tech-savvy audience; start-up experience is a plus.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Experience leveraging marketing automation tools to make a meaningful impact on team effectiveness.

Knowledge + Skills

  • Proficiency in marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Braze) and CRM systems, with a strong grasp of campaign orchestration and workflow automation, cloud-based suites (Google Workspace, Asana), and curiosity for investigating emerging tools and technologies to improve marketing performance.
  • Proficient in advanced email marketing techniques, including deliverability management, compliance regulations, audience targeting, and rigorous testing methodologies to drive measurable campaign performance.
  • Skilled in leveraging customer data platforms (CDPs) and analytics tools (e.g., GA4, Hotjar) to develop data-driven insights and inform campaign strategy.
  • Technical proficiency or domain expertise in campus or community marketing is a plus.

Schedule + Travel

Monday-Friday, standard business hours, with the flexibility to accommodate and coordinate with the standard business hours of team members across various time zones.

Limited US-based travel may be required for in-person meetings and team collaboration retreats, community events, or trainings/workshops, as requested.

Work Environment

Work is conducted remotely (i.e., from a home office) with virtual team collaboration sessions and meetings as needed.

Due to the remote work environment, this position requires a significant portion of the work to be managed and communicated through digital platforms. Employees are required to maintain a private, safe, and professional office space equipped with the necessary technology (i.e., computer, webcam, phone, high-speed internet) to effectively perform their duties. This includes a quiet space conducive to conducting business-related conversations that is free from noise and other distractions.

Compensation + Benefits

The salary range for this role is $90,000-$110,000 annually. Full-time employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance coverage, Group Term Life and Voluntary Life Insurance, and an employer-matched retirement plan.
