About the job Manufacturing Junior Automation Technician - New Capital
Job Objective
To provide technical support in operating, monitoring, and maintaining automation and control systems under the supervision of senior engineers/technicians. The Junior Automation Technician assists in troubleshooting, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting production teams to ensure reliable system performance and compliance with GMP and safety standards.
Environment
Internal and external interactions i.e.: with other departments/divisions, international scope, providers, customers ... )
- Internal: Manufacturing, validation, calibration, IT, EHS, and Projects teams.
- External: Automation vendors, OEMs, and system integrators, regulatory auditors/inspectors, external service providers and contractors.
Key responsibility
Assist in routine monitoring and troubleshooting of PLC, SCADA, and BMS.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks under guidance.
Report system alarms and escalate issues to senior technicians/engineers.
Comply with GMP, safety, and documentation procedures.
Academic experience required
Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Automation.
Basic knowledge of cGMP requirements.
Professional Experience Required
0-4 years of experience in automation/maintenance within manufacturing environments.
Internship or training in PLC/SCADA is a plus.
Computing Skills
Basic Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Familiarity with PLC software (Siemens) at a beginner level.
Good networking and industrial communication protocols knowledge.
