About the job Inventory Control Supervisor
Job Objective
The Inventory control Supervisor is responsible to supervise maintaining and organizing plasma inventory management needed for all production activities.
Key responsibility
- Plan and supervise the Establishes production schedules for Plasma Unit (PU) clearing and Plasma Log (PL) consolidation related to plasma manufacturing pool deliveries to manufacturing
- Control the process of reporting, inventory positions by plasma type versus targets.
- Supervise the reporting of on-hand plasma inventory for obsolescent, expired or slow-moving inventory.
- supervise the communication, meeting/Calls with material handling and clearing counterparts regarding production/clearing, schedules considering manufacturing demand, inventory, and timing
- Partner with a wide variety of internal and external customers including manufacturing, freight carriers, quality operations, and numerous other groups on a variety of issues.
- Frequently communicates with planning counterparts within manufacturing operations to review plasma requirements and determine optimized plasma delivery and utilizations schedules taking plasma types, supplier, etc. into consideration
- manage power users for the Plasma Logistics System (PLS) application, with focus on plasma planning module.
- Performs research which substantiates disposition of plasma inventory in blocked inventory status to either be dispositioned for manufacturing use, downgraded to diagnostic material, or written-off.
- supervise and own the generation of departmental KPIs and S&OP reports/analyses.
- Supervise the billing process for plasma deliveries to manufacturing and track, monitor, and report results.
- Reports all unsafe working situations or conditions to supervisors or Manager.
- Develop and maintain Inventory management SOP's in accordance with regulatory agency and company
- Interview, hire, train, and directly supervise employees in the Plasma Inventory Control group. Monitor performance, employee relations, and quality standards to ensure effective work team performance is maintained.
- Any roles or responsibilities may be changed based on the business needs. Other duties as assigned.
Academic experience required
Position requires a minimum of A Bachelor's degree in one of the sciences, business administration, engineering, or some other related field.
Professional Experience Required
Typically requires 3-5 years of related experience. Supply chain, planning and/or logistics experience preferred. Experience in a medical and or a cGMP regulated environment preferred.
Computing Skills
Experience in Microsoft Office applications
Experience in ERP systems
Experience in Inventory and Material management systems are preferred
