Job Responsibilities :

  • Designs and maintains a long-term Procurement Indirect Category strategy for country aligned to Grifols Egypt's overall business strategy
  • Networks externally to ensure remains abreast of current world class thinking
  • Optimizes key relationships across Grifols Egypt to take full advantage of efficiencies and leverage best practice
  • Influences and shapes Indirect Category strategies, tactics and plans developed in conjunction with the global procurement team
  • Research, select and purchase quality products, services and materials. Seeks out high-quality products and services that will help the company operate smoothly and reach its goals
  • Uses a keen understanding of the industry to know which supplies are most important and where to look for reliable, reasonably priced suppliers
  • Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best quality and pricing.
  • Process requisitions and update management on status of orders and contracts.
  • Prepares reports and communicates with management about offered prices on products to obtain final approval for purchases
  • Performs comparison shopping and negotiations to secure lower prices on materials the company needs. Constantly looks for ways to cut back on the company's expenses
  • Arrange deliver of goods and services and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.
  • Prepare and send requests for quotation (RFXs) to suppliers.
  • Conduct RFxs evaluation with alignment with stakeholders.
  • Partner with internal organizations to: define requirements; assist with identifying vendors; lead RFx process and evaluations; provide vendor evaluation framework and make recommendations on vendor selection
  • Follows and enforces the compliance of Company & Procurement Policies and guidelines
  • Works well as a member of the team and communicates with team members about the progress on Procurement projects.
  • Execute procurement strategies for spend categories under control.
  • Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company.
  • Review existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.
  • Evaluate spending operations while seeking ways to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased and the timeliness of deliveries.
  • Conduct cost analyses and setting benchmarks for improvement to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
  • Develop risk management procedures to mitigate losses in the event of product shortages.
  • Work closely with the company legal department to make sure contracts and terms are favorable.
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
  • Lead the creation and execution of cost savings and innovation pipeline programs through effective management of strategic suppliers and internal cross-functional teams.
  • Evaluate existing processes and implement value-added changes for identifying, evaluating, and selecting potential suppliers, and negotiating favorable business terms and service level agreements
  • Role models compliance with Grifols Egypt, internal policies, code of conduct and core value behaviors.
  • Coaches team in the use of sophisticated commercial models, reports and forecasts to challenge and strengthen decision making processes across the business area.
  • Coaches and identifies development opportunities for indirect reports, ensuring appropriate succession planning and creation of a strong development culture.
  • Develop, lead, and implement business cost reduction strategies through Sourcing to improve our cost position without sacrificing quality.

Academic & Professional experience required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Admin, Pharmaceutical science Engineering or any relevant field.
  • Minimum 8 years of related experience in Procurement, pharma experience is desirable.
  • Minimum 4 years of people management role in Procurement Knowledge of procurement, sourcing techniques, and negotiations skills.
  • Experience as Supplier/Customer/Stakeholder relationship manager.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • SAP Experience
  • Fluent English
