About the job Electrical Lead Engineer

The Electrical Lead Engineer will oversee the operation, maintenance, and reliability of building systems, utilities and specialized equipment across multiple plasma donation centers, Laboratory and PLC. This role ensures that all facilities, technical systems, and equipment—including building management systems (BMS), Electrical panels, UPS, ATS, Transformers, Voltage regulators, fire alarm panels and power supply operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards.

Environment

  • Internal: Medical staff, quality assurance, finance, procurement, and operations teams.
  • External: Maintenance service provider

Key responsibility

Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

  • Develop, supervise, and oversee preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment and systems (Electrical, fire alarm, BMS, etc.) done by maintenance service provider.
  • Supervise corrective maintenance activities, ensuring timely troubleshooting and resolution of breakdowns.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and spare parts inventory.

Technical Oversight & Leadership

  • Lead and mentor maintenance engineers and technicians across all plasma donation centers including the staff of maintenance service providers.
  • Provide hands-on technical expertise in diagnosing complex equipment/system failures.
  • Ensure adherence to maintenance best practices, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.

Facility & Equipment Management

  • Monitor the performance of electrical panels, BMS, fire alarm systems, Voltage regulators, UPS, ATS, Bus coupler and generators.
  • Ensure continuous power supply for critical loads and other sensitive areas.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance teams during audits and inspections.

Vendor & Contractor Management

  • Manage relationships with external service providers and contractors for specialized maintenance.
  • Review and supervise the service agreements, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality delivery.
  • Supervise contractors during major repairs, installations, or upgrades.

Continuous Improvement & Reporting

  • Recommend system upgrades, energy-saving solutions, and technology improvements.
  • Generate regular reports on maintenance KPIs, downtime analysis, and compliance metrics.

Academic experience required

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical Power Engineering.

Professional Experience Required

  • Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience in facilities or maintenance engineering, with at least 3 years of them in a supervisory/lead role. Healthcare, pharmaceutical, Commercial facilities is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and good knowledge of Mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with GMP, EDA, FDA, EMA, and local health authority requirements.
  • Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS), fire detection and prevention systems, UPS, and generators.

Computing Skills

  • Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • SAP key user

Personal Skills

  • Strong team management, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work under pressure, and willingness to travel between donation centers.
