Responsible for management of an assigned location from the perspective of maintenance as well

as managing the installation, training of staff and repairing of the medical machinery and devices.

Environment

Internal and external interactions i.e.: with other departments/divisions, international scope,

providers, customers)

Internal: Grifols Egypt for Plasma Derivatives (GEPD)plasma general management, especially

the Director of quality, quality department of other GEPD plasma donor centers (DC)

External: Donors, Health Authorities, government agencies.

Key responsibility

Facilities Management including assigned building maintenance operations and environmental

issues.

Supervise and report utilities supply installations.

Put preventive maintenance programs in place for the assigned site with consistent practices.

Process maintenance requests through maintenance request software (SAP or similar).

Communicate with site management regarding repairs, maintenance, and appearance upgrades.

Coordinate, manage and execute Small Projects related to facilities improvements.

Coordinate maintenance activities as well as the Refrigeration systems within the assigned

location.

Provide reporting of progress and status of maintenance requests as required.

Install and calibrate medical machines, equipment, and software.

Train staff on calibration and operation of the medical devices effectively and safely.

Evaluate the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of biomedical machines, equipment, and

software.

Provide technical support when needed.

Maintain an up to date record of repair and service history of all biomedical machines.

Writing reports and documents describing standards of use, maintenance, and repairs of

biomedical equipment, machines, and software.

Review medical equipment recalls and take appropriate actions to ensure the affected equipment

is tested or removed from service, where appropriate.

Academic experience required

Bachelors degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering , or a related field.

Professional experience required

Proven experience working within the field of Biomedical Engineering.

3 to 5 years of experience managing industrial, medical or healthcare institutional building

maintenance.

Computing skills

Solid understanding of MS Suite.

SAP.
