Role Overview:

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for supporting daily shipping and logistics operations, ensuring accurate product flow from the warehouse to the final delivery. This role plays a critical part in coordinating shipments, maintaining documentation, and communicating with drivers, warehouse teams, and customers.

This is a fast-paced, detail-oriented role requiring strong organizational skills and adaptability to changing schedules. The position follows a Monday–Friday schedule (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM) and requires flexibility to work overtime and on weekends as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience required.
  • 2–5 years of experience in a warehouse, shipping, or food manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with shipping documentation, logistics coordination, and inventory tracking.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and ERP systems (BatchMaster preferred).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and last-minute scheduling changes.
  • Availability to work extended hours, overtime, and weekends as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Shipments: Schedule and manage outbound shipments to ensure efficient logistics flow.
  • Oversee Dock Activity: Support and monitor dock operations and shipping processes.
  • Process Documentation: Accurately complete shipping paperwork and tracking records.
  • Communicate with Stakeholders: Maintain communication with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers regarding shipments and updates.
  • Handle Schedule Changes: Adjust shipments based on last-minute changes and operational needs.
  • Maintain Data Accuracy: Track product movement, ensuring correct product type, quantity, and code dates.
  • Collaborate with Management: Work with leadership to optimize daily shipping operations.
  • Promote Safety & Compliance: Follow GMP, PPE, and safety procedures.
  • Maintain Work Area: Keep workspace clean, organized, and efficient.
  • Support Team Environment: Contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
