Role Overview:
The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production schedules are met while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards. This role leads production personnel, coordinates workflow, monitors operational performance, and works cross-functionally with purchasing and logistics to ensure efficient manufacturing operations.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong experience in food manufacturing, production planning, team supervision, and operational coordination. The ideal candidate is bilingual, highly organized, and capable of leading a fast-paced production environment while driving efficiency and continuous improvement.
Ability to work 10-hour shifts, 5–6 days per week, as operational needs require. The salary would be based on experience.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience managing production operations within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience supervising production teams of 20+ employees.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Business Central (BC365) or a similar ERP system.
- Strong understanding of production planning, workflow coordination, and labor management.
- Knowledge of food safety, GMP, and manufacturing best practices preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work 10-hour shifts, 5–6 days per week, as operational needs require.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Production Operations: Supervise daily production activities, ensuring schedules, quality standards, and production targets are consistently achieved.
- Manage Production Teams: Lead, coach, and oversee a team of approximately 20–30 production employees, ensuring productivity, accountability, and workforce development.
- Coordinate Production Planning: Assign daily production activities and ensure all work is completed efficiently and on schedule.
- Manage Material Availability: Verify that raw materials and production supplies are available before scheduled production runs and communicate shortages to management.
- Monitor Production Performance: Track daily production output, productivity, and operational performance against established goals.
- Prepare Production Reports: Complete production documentation, maintain operational records, and provide daily production updates to management.
- Coordinate Cross-Functional Operations: Work closely with logistics, purchasing, and warehouse teams to support on-time production and shipping activities.
- Maintain ERP Data: Utilize Microsoft Business Central (BC365) or similar ERP systems to manage production information and workflow.
- Promote Workplace Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing environment while ensuring compliance with company policies and food safety standards.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, workflow, and overall operational performance.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
