Our client is a highly respected, privately owned consultancy based in Perth, WA. With a team of ~30 engineering geologists and geotechnical engineers, they are known for their outstanding work in the mining sector, supporting major clients on greenfield and brownfield projects, including haul roads, rail, bridges, NPI, and mining infrastructure.

About the Role

This is a rare opportunity for an Engineering Geologist with experience ranging from graduate to 10 years to work on some of Australia's most significant mining projects while remaining in a consulting environment.

Whether you're currently in consulting and want to deepen your exposure to client-side mining work, or you're in mining and looking to transition into consulting while leveraging your site experience,  this role offers the best of both worlds. You'll contribute to high-impact projects, provide geological and geotechnical expertise, and work closely with major mining clients across diverse and challenging environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct geotechnical investigations and provide construction support on active sites
  • Build strong relationships with client-side teams and subcontractors
  • Prepare detailed factual and interpretive geological reports with engineering insights
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including medical and drug/alcohol screening
  • Support desktop studies, geohazard identification, and engineering geomorphology

About You

  • From graduate level to 10 years of experience as an engineering geologist or geologist in mining or construction
  • Strong safety mindset and ability to work on long-term remote projects
  • Skilled in writing clear, professional reports with interpretive depth
  • Excellent communicator, comfortable liaising with clients and internal teams
  • Able to pass medical, drug, and alcohol screening assessments
