Our multidisciplinary teams specialize in forensic crash investigation, data analytics, safety engineering, and public policy. We work closely with the Government of India and international partners like the World Bank Group to transform road safety at a national scale.
Role Overview
The Senior Manager/Manager of Program Management will serve as a principal organizational representative in high-stakes government engagements. This senior leadership role involves driving program strategy and leading the strategic design and implementation of safety solutions across critical corridors and districts. You will be responsible for delivering measurable road safety outcomes in partnership with Central and State government counterparts.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Leadership & Delivery: Provide strategic leadership across multiple concurrent programs; ensure high-quality execution on schedule and within budget.
- Government & Stakeholder Engagement: Build high-trust relationships with government officials and district administrations; lead multi-stakeholder consultations and technical workshops.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to annual and multi-year program strategies; identify opportunities for program scale-up and institutionalization within government frameworks.
- Team Leadership: Provide direct mentorship and professional development to team members; foster a culture of intellectual rigor and accountability.
- Monitoring & Evaluation: Oversee robust M&E frameworks to track impact; prepare high-quality progress reports for donors and senior leadership.
- Innovation: Proactively resolve complex operational and stakeholder challenges; champion evidence-based innovation new technologies.
Professional Experience & Qualifications
- Education: Master's degree in Public Policy, Business Administration, Development Studies, Urban/Transportation Planning, Engineering, or a related discipline. (Exceptional candidates with a Bachelor's degree will be considered).
- Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in program management, with at least three (3) years in a leadership role.
- Sector Background: Experience in the development sector, public sector, or government-adjacent organizations.
- Government Relations: Proven ability to engage and negotiate with senior government officials.
- Technical Skills: Strong command of project management disciplines (risk management, scheduling, reporting) and excellent data analytical capabilities.
- Domain Knowledge: Prior experience in road safety, transport, public health, or infrastructure is highly desirable.
