About the role -

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Monitoring & Evaluation Associate to join our team in Agartala, Tripura. This role is vital for developing and implementing frameworks to track the impact of large-scale education sector interventions, specifically focusing on teacher professional development and student learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities- 

  •  Framework Development: Develop and implement monitoring and     evaluation (M&E) systems and tools using state-level or open-source   software to track program implementation and outcomes.

  •  Data Collection: Design and execute data collection activities, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and   observations.

  •   Learning Achievement Surveys: Support the finalization of Student Learning Achievement Surveys (SLAS) for classes 6–12 across various subjects, including assessment planning and data analysis.

  •   Assessment Support: Support the collaboration for Teacher Subject and Pedagogical Knowledge Assessment (TKSA) tools and conduct analysis for pre-post and Quality Assurance (QA) assessments.

  •   Research & Consultation: Conduct desk research and stakeholder consultations to analyze student performance in NAS, Board, and State assessments.

  •   Capacity Review: Assist in developing tools for diagnostic capacity reviews of educational institutions like SCERT and DIETs.
Qualifications & Requirements -

  • Education: Graduate or equivalent degree in Economics, Public Policy, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in concurrent monitoring and periodic evaluation of large-scale education sector interventions.
  • Language Skills: Preference will be given to candidates proficient in Bangla, Kokborok, or other local dialects of Tripura.
  • Technical Skills: Strong ability to conduct research, analyze data, and stay current with developments in the field.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to facilitate diverse groups.

  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the education sector and familiarity with science education best practices in India.

  • Creative Problem Solving: A passion for creative problem-solving, enthusiasm, and alignment with organizational priorities.

  • Resource Development: Experience in writing research papers or education resources, including training and teaching materials.

  • Soft Skills: A sense of humor, patience, and the ability to adapt to emerging technologies and trends.
