Role Overview

Ground Zero is seeking an HR Manager (HRBP & Field Operations) to deliver strategic and hands-on HR business partnering. This role oversees employee experience, performance management, engagement, learning and development, employee relations, retention, and dedicated HR support for field operations. The position translates people strategy into operational practices and serves as the primary HR partner for program and operational leadership.

Key Responsibilities

1. HR Business Partnering

  • Partner with managers and leadership on workforce planning, organizational capability, and people needs.
  • Provide advice across the employee lifecycle, performance, engagement, and employee relations.
  • Support managers through people challenges, difficult conversations, and systemic interventions.
  • Act as a trusted partner while maintaining high confidentiality and professional judgment.

2. Performance Management

  • Lead the annual Performance Management System (PMS) cycle, including goal setting, mid-year reviews, annual evaluations, and calibration.
  • Guide managers in goal setting, performance feedback, PIP management, and promotion/increment recommendations.
  • Ensure performance concerns are addressed promptly and fairly.

3. Onboarding, Probation & Feedback

  • Oversee the 30-60-90 day feedback process for new hires to ensure OKRs/KRAs are established and early challenges are addressed.
  • Facilitate probation review discussions and manage timely confirmations or extensions.

4. Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Design and execute engagement calendars, town halls, engagement surveys, recognition programs, and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Lead retention strategies for critical roles and support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives.

5. Employee Relations & Manager Coaching

  • Manage workplace grievances and employee relations matters with fairness and confidentiality.
  • Coach managers on effective feedback, performance handling, and building leadership capabilities.
  • Coordinate formal documentation (warnings, show-cause notices) and handle disciplinary processes.

6. Learning & Development (L&D)

  • Conduct annual Training Needs Identification (TNI) and manage the learning calendar.
  • Track participation, evaluate training effectiveness, maintain Individual Development Plans, and support leadership development.

7. Field HR Partnership & Analytics

  • Serve as the central HRBP for multi-location field operations, connecting regularly with field teams to address region-specific risks.
  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies and support workforce planning across field sites.
  • Analyze retention, engagement, and performance data to provide strategic insights and recommendations to leadership.

8. Policy & Organizational Development

  • Periodically review and refine HR policies to align with organizational values and culture.
  • Support organizational design, role definitions, talent reviews, and succession planning.

Qualifications & Competencies

Postgraduate qualification in Human Resources, Personnel Management, or a related discipline.

Experience

Generalist HR / HRBP experience, with preference for experience in multi-location or field-based operations.

Core Skills

HRBP, Performance Management, Employee Relations, Manager Coaching, L&D, Stakeholder Management, and People Analytics.

Execution Style

Strong problem-solving, communication, and execution capabilities with sound judgment and discretion.
