About the role:
The Senior Program Manager will serve as the State Lead, directing interventions across the state by managing a diverse team of Education Specialists, coordinators, and officers. The role focuses on transforming learning ecosystems through educational technology and capacity building to foster 21st-century skills. This position is responsible for all government relations, content development oversight, and the successful execution of project deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
1. State Strategy & Review
- Anchor the state strategy in alignment with organizational priorities and a systems-change lens.
- Develop long-term (3–5 year) state plans, including detailed budgets and team structures.
- Ensure operational plans feature clear quarterly milestones for curriculum development and capacity building.
- Conduct monthly field visits to engage with learners, teachers, and district officials to evaluate program effectiveness.
2. Advocacy & Thought Leadership
- Drive the advocacy agenda by building strategic relationships with state departments such as the SSA and SCERT.
- Facilitate policy-level change to mainstream specialized curricula within the education ecosystem.
- Act as the organizational representative in consortiums and external forums.
3. Project & Budget Management
- Manage financial forecasting to ensure spending aligns with forecasts and audit requirements.
- Ensure all donor reporting is completed on time with high-quality insights and project learning.
- Support fundraising opportunities and proposal development in collaboration with the Business Development team.
4. Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL)
- Ensure the team utilizes monitoring tools and dashboards to drive joint reviews and data-driven reflections.
- Streamline review processes with thematic leads to deepen the synergy between state and program strategies.
5. Team Building
- Create learning opportunities for the team and foster a culture of open communication and critical thinking.
Required Skills and Experience:

Experience: Minimum 7–8 years of experience implementing blended learning content for school projects.

Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with coding, computational skills, STEM, and life/career skills for students.

Government Engagement: Prior experience managing large-scale programs in government schools and facilitating workshops for state officials.

Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of the National Education Policy (NEP) and State Curriculum Framework.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills in English; proficiency in local regional languages is preferred.

Logistics: Willingness to travel extensively and work both independently and collaboratively
