About the role: 
We are looking for experienced individuals to join our Livelihood Initiative, which focuses on livestock in Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand.Work experience in programs related to goat husbandry and pastoral communities is an advantage. Candidates should have a degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Science, or a related field of Livestock with a minimum of three years of full-time, relevant work experience.

Broad Roles:

The Resource Person will support the Livelihood Initiative of the Field Institute in two main capacities, centered on livestock:

  • Supporting the district/block leader in integrating livelihood operations at the sub-district/district level.

  • Thematic development and support for field teams across multiple locations in Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh. This includes facilitating project formulation, providing technical backing for implementation, tracking quality, mobilizing program finances, coordinating stakeholders, anchoring thematic studies, and helping to solve problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating stakeholder engagement beyond the community level (e.g., at the block, district, and state levels).

  • Building the capacity of field teams across the states around a specific theme.

  • Developing thematic projects, preparing designs-for-action, and helping with the rollout.

  • Anchoring the content development work within the Livelihood Initiatives for a specific theme.

  • Contributing to field-based pilots, tracking results, and documenting new evidence from practice.

Eligibility:

  • A Diploma, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in

    Animal Science, Veterinary Science, or a related field of Livestock with a minimum of three years of full-time, relevant work experience.

  • A Bachelor's degree in

    Animal Science, Veterinary Science, or a related field of Livestock with a minimum of five years of full-time, relevant work experience.

Additional Requirements:

  • Work experience in broader livestock program management or agri-livestock livelihood interventions is required.

  • Work experience in programs related to goat husbandry and pastoral communities is a plus.

  • Experience working in the central tribal belt region on the theme of Livestock or Livelihoods in general is an added advantage.

  • Fluency in both

    Hindi and English is required, and knowledge of a local language is an added advantage
