About the role:

The State Manager – Operations & Government Relations will lead program operations at the state level, manage critical government liaisons, and cultivate partnerships with donors and key stakeholders. This role is essential for ensuring smooth program implementation, regulatory compliance, and alignment with national objectives.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Operations Management: Oversee state-level operations to ensure timely and effective program delivery.

• Government Relations: Liaise with government departments to secure necessary approvals and support for programs.

• Partnership Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with CSR partners, donors, and institutional stakeholders.

• Team Leadership: Guide and support state-level teams to drive performance, accountability, and professional growth.

• Monitoring & Compliance: Track KPIs, monitor operations, and ensure strict adherence to organizational policies and ethical guidelines.

• Representation: Act as the organizational representative in state-level forums, workshops, and stakeholder meetings.

• Capacity Building: Identify training needs and design initiatives for staff development.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Social Work, Public Policy, Management, or a related field.

• Experience: * 7-10 years of experience in operations, government liaison, or donor management.

  • Proven track record in managing state-level programs and teams.

  • Experience in education or program management is preferred.

• Soft Skills: * Strong networking, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Excellent communication, planning, and reporting skills.
