About the job ICT test analyst
SUMMARY OF ROLE:
Typically working within a test team but sometimes required to take sole responsibility for all aspects of testing, the test analyst will be required to work with development teams, project managers, business end users and other groups to ensure some or all criteria of testing are fulfilled.
The nature of this work generally demands a reasonable level of proficiency in the engineering aspects of software, as the role may involve gathering of requirements, generation of test scripts and test plans, integration with software components and feedback to both the test process and the other teams. The ability to maintain rigorous compliance with project deliverables and industry standards is a prized asset.
Testing can vary from ensuring individual components meet project requirements to ensuring overall compliance with project and industry definitions and UAT. Knowledge of and experience with tools such HP Quality Center, JIRA and similar will be prerequisites, as well as ability to write test cases and experience in Agile development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- ICT test analyst, responsible for:
- Preparing test scope and fulfil test coverage
- Preparing test artefacts (test scenarios, test cases, test scripts)
- Preparing and maintaining test plans
- Providing feedback to the business and development teams
- Maintain quality of test data
- Conducting risk assessments
- Doing continuous testing
- Providing estimation forecasts
- Liaising with the business, development teams and management
- Checks the Quality of delivered software solutions against acceptance criteria
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
- 1 year of experience with the execution of test cases, with their analysis, design and writing scenarios is an advantage
- Ability to perform tasks consistently and independently
Teamwork:
- Interpret the results of the team's work and work with them to complete tasks
- Good communication and presentation experience
- Attention to detail
