About the Medicaid Team Manager Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Medicaid Team Manager to lead a team of Eligibility & Planning Specialists. This role is pivotal in ensuring the team's success, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management to foster high-quality client service and achieve team goals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in Medicaid Long Term Care (LTC) eligibility, leadership, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Directly manage a team of Eligibility & Planning Specialists, including hiring, onboarding, and ongoing performance reviews.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship, fostering individual and team development.
  • Collaborate with leadership to evaluate team bandwidth and optimize workflow.
  • Oversee caseload management, ensuring efficiency and adherence to Medicaid guidelines.
  • Strategize solutions for complex client cases and provide support to team members.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and individual check-ins to track progress and address challenges.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of state and federal Medicaid regulations, communicating changes to the team.
  • Utilize productivity tools to monitor performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a professional services setting.
  • Proven track record in leading and developing teams.
  • Extensive knowledge of Medicaid LTC, including eligibility determination and case management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to offer solutions for complex cases.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new productivity tools quickly.
