Job Title: Project Estimator – Construction

Location: Guadalajara, Jalisco (On-site)

Type: Full-time (40 hours/week)

Work Schedule:

Standard: Monday to Friday – 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Overview:

LATAM Partners is hiring a Project Estimator to support a growing construction company based in the United States. This role is focused on performing detailed material takeoffs, analyzing construction plans, and preparing accurate and professional proposals for project bidding.

The ideal candidate must be highly detail-oriented, organized, and capable of carefully reviewing construction drawings and project specifications before completing takeoffs. Accuracy, focus, and a strong work ethic are essential for success in this role. Training will be provided to ensure long-term development and performance within the position.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating & Project Analysis

• Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.

• Carefully study all job specifications related to the companys scopes of work prior to performing takeoffs.

• Perform accurate and detailed material and labor takeoffs.

• Apply project specifications to ensure scope compliance and completeness.

• Prepare clear, organized, and professional proposals for project bidding.

Project Coordination

• Coordinate with project managers and leadership to clarify scope questions.

• Ensure all estimates align with project documentation and requirements.

• Meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality.

Documentation & Process Management

• Maintain organized digital records of estimates, takeoffs, and supporting documentation.

• Ensure all project-related files are properly stored and accessible.

• Continuously improve estimating workflows and internal processes to increase efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical documents.

• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

• Highly organized and process-oriented.

• Ability to work independently and maintain focus for extended periods.

• Strong math skills and analytical thinking.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

• English level: B2+ preferred.

Preferred Experience

• 3+ years of experience in construction estimating.

• Experience performing detailed material takeoffs.

• Familiarity with construction scopes of work and contract documentation.

• Experience using estimating or takeoff software is a plus.
