Position Overview

We are seeking a Process Engineer to support semiconductor manufacturing operations in Sherman, Texas. This role applies professional engineering principles to the analysis, design, evaluation, and optimization of manufacturing and facility-related processes within advanced semiconductor fabrication environments.

The position requires the independent application of engineering theory, including process design methodologies, systems analysis, statistical evaluation, and performance optimization, to ensure manufacturing processes operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with applicable engineering standards.

This is an engineering-level role focused on analytical evaluation, process improvement, and technical design support within a regulated manufacturing environment.


Primary Responsibilities

Process Engineering Analysis & Design

  • Apply engineering principles to analyze and optimize semiconductor manufacturing and supporting facility processes.

  • Develop and evaluate process flow diagrams, engineering specifications, and operational parameters.

  • Perform quantitative analysis of process performance metrics including throughput, yield, cycle time, and system capacity.

  • Utilize engineering methodologies to validate process modifications and performance improvements.

  • Evaluate interactions between manufacturing tools and supporting facility systems.

  • Ensure process designs and modifications comply with applicable engineering and industry standards.

Process Evaluation & Performance Optimization

  • Conduct engineering assessments of manufacturing and facility-related process systems.

  • Apply statistical analysis and data-driven methodologies to identify performance improvement opportunities.

  • Develop engineered solutions to address process inefficiencies or variability.

  • Support implementation of process improvements using structured engineering approaches.

  • Perform root cause analysis using formal engineering methods and develop corrective engineering actions.


Engineering Oversight & Technical Coordination

  • Provide engineering-level oversight during process changes, equipment installations, and system startups.

  • Review engineering documentation, change requests, and technical specifications for accuracy and compliance.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure process alignment with facility capabilities.

  • Communicate technical findings, assumptions, and engineering recommendations to management and project stakeholders.

Safety & Regulatory Compliance

  • Apply engineering judgment to ensure manufacturing processes comply with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

  • Participate in process hazard analyses and engineering risk assessments.

  • Evaluate process modifications through structured management of change procedures.

  • Integrate safety-by-design principles into process optimization initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree (or Licenciatura) in Engineering (Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related engineering discipline).

  • Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience performing process engineering analysis, system evaluation, or manufacturing optimization in industrial environments.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering analysis methodologies, statistical evaluation, and process design principles.

  • Experience applying engineering standards and regulatory frameworks in manufacturing settings.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.

  • Fluent English communication skills suitable for technical documentation and cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing or cleanroom production environments.

  • Familiarity with semiconductor process terminology and facility support systems.

  • Experience applying statistical process control (SPC) or structured improvement methodologies.

  • Experience supporting process integration within advanced manufacturing facilities.


Nature of Role

This position requires professional-level engineering judgment and the application of established engineering principles to analyze and improve semiconductor manufacturing processes. The role is analytical and design-oriented in nature and does not involve trade-level technical maintenance activities.
