Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in civil engineering or a related field.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in civil engineering, particularly in construction-related roles.

• Proficiency in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bluebeam and concrete construction regulation code.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to engineering detail, design and problem solving.

• Ability to identify, assimilate and comprehend the critical elements of a situation, to extract and interpret implications of courses of actions to attend to details of a problem

• Communicates expectations and importance of safety. Follows up and ensures safety audits are completed accurately and timely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze plans, survey reports, maps and oversee, along with the general contractor and the structural engineers, design issues or construction adversities.

• Broad knowledge of the application of engineering to plant constructability as applied to construction methods and materials.

• Provide multi-stage construction oversight and assist with the planning, job costing, and subcontractor selection on various projects.

• Independently perform Computer Aided Design and Drafting (AutoCAD, Bluebeam) of civil engineering plans including 3D modeling, alignments, corridors, cross sections, typical sections, volumes, quantities, plan and profile sheets, phase construction sequencing, grading plans, utility or site layouts, general plan development, and change order support, including supporting calculations.

• Ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards to maintain a safe working environment.

• Oversee surveying, along with management team, building foundations layouts, grades, elevations, sidewalks, slabs, curbs, and other miscellaneous concrete items.

Job Duties:

• Reviewing project drawings and specs for contract compliance.

• Research and recommend resolutions to drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interference, and errors, to verify that all completed work comply with applicable codes, drawing and specifications.

• Oversee, analyze data and survey reports on construction progress per plans and technical specifications.

• Supervising the design and execution of commercial construction projects, ensuring they meet company standards and client expectations per engineering design.

• Collaborating with the stakeholders and other subcontractors, including structural designers, plumbing, electricians, carpenters, and others, to ensure accurate implementation of concrete.

• Prepare drawings and sketches to support construction work, change orders, and estimates to meet changing job requirements.
