Overview:
LATAM Partners is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal / Law Clerk to support Arellano Law Firm, a U.S.-based firm specializing in Personal Injury and Accident Law. This position is based at our offices in Guadalajara, Jalisco, and requires a strong command of U.S. legal procedures, native-level spoken and written English, and outstanding organizational and administrative abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Legal Research & Case Support:

Conduct legal research to assist in the preparation of accident and injury-related claims.

Analyze and summarize relevant statutes, case law, and insurance policies.
Document Drafting & Review:

Draft demand letters, correspondence, and case summaries using firm-approved templates.

Review documents for completeness and compliance with U.S. legal standards.
Client Communication & File Management:

Communicate directly with clients (in English) to gather case information, updates, and documentation.

Organize digital case files, maintain updated records, and manage timelines for deliverables.
Administrative & Legal Coordination:

Assist with scheduling depositions, medical evaluations, and court-related activities.

Track case progress, deadlines, and settlement offers in coordination with the U.S. legal team.
Requirements:

Education: Bachelors degree in Law (Mexico).

Experience: Minimum 2 years as a practicing lawyer or legal professional in Mexico.

Language: Fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written) English must be strong enough for direct client conversations and professional correspondence.

Technical Skills: Familiarity with case management platforms, legal research tools (e.g., LexisNexis), and Microsoft Office Suite.
