Job Title: Commercial Estimator – Finishes & Installation Coordinator

Location: Guadalajara, Jalisco (On-site)

Type: Full-time (40 hours/week)

Work Schedule:

Standard: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Summer Schedule: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Overview:

LATAM Partners is hiring a Commercial Estimator – Finishes & Installation Coordinator to support a women-led construction company based in Chicago. This role is focused on estimating interior and exterior finishes as well as key installation systems, working directly from our Guadalajara office. The ideal candidate has strong takeoff experience and is confident estimating project elements like doors, windows, flooring, ceilings, electrical systems, and sanitary drainage.

Key Responsibilities:

Estimating – Finishes & Installations

Perform detailed takeoffs and cost estimates for construction elements including doors, windows, flooring, ceilings, and wall finishes.

Estimate electrical installations, including outlets, lighting, and wiring.

Estimate sanitary drainage systems, including pipes, connections, and materials.

Use tools such as Plainswift, Bluebeam, or equivalent to complete accurate volumetric takeoffs.

Analyze architectural plans and project documents to determine quantity and material needs.

Gather and manage vendor quotes, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with project specs.

Procurement & Documentation

Prepare and manage submittals, product datasheets, and samples for client approval.

Generate and follow up on purchase orders and coordinate delivery with warehouse and vendors.

Address discrepancies in product delivery and file claims when necessary.

Project Coordination & Field Support

Maintain updated documentation for superintendents and installers.

Adjust floorplans or estimates based on field modifications or scope changes.

Support invoice preparation and contract compliance.

Assist with project closeout documentation including warranties and sample returns.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.

At least 4 years of experience in commercial construction estimating or coordination.

Strong proficiency in Bluebeam, Plainswift, or similar takeoff software.

Experience interpreting U.S. construction documents and measurements.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-through skills.

English level: B2+ minimum required. Bilingual preferred.

Must be located in Guadalajara – this is an on-site position.
