Q200542: Revit Mechanical Designer
Job Description:
The role underpins and enhances the company's ability to deliver its mission and values and to be responsible for; (1) delivering quality and efficient engineering, (2) all areas of quality service delivery, (3) delivery of multiple engineering projects, and (4) working with construction and estimating teams in providing engineering consulting for design and project engineering.
Salary Range: 30,000 - 40,000
Work Set-Up: Work onsite | Mon-Fri | 6am - 3pm
Responsibilities:
- Carry out engineering designs, complete drawing mark-ups and reviews, provide design advice to Project, Drafting and Engineering teams.
- Review design and workshop mechanical drawings for standards compliance, carry out redesign, ensure compliance with the applicable Australian Standards.
- Participate in new project initiatives from an engineering perspective which includes - participate in QA processes across allocated Engineering team projects.
- Ensure regular and open communication with Engineering manager and project stakeholders, establish and maintain effective working relationships with the Project Management, Drafting and Estimating teams, provide coordinating, support and training.
- Ensure quality assurance, compliance and certification and improvement of the Engineering Department's processes and practices for continuous improvement.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent preferred but not required.
- 3 - 5 years' experience as a Mechanical Draftsman or similar role.
- Proficient understanding of engineering practices and guidelines.
- Strong knowledge in HVAC or MEP designs.
- Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and/or other productivity tools.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Has a sense of responsibility and possesses a positive can do attitude.
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- High attention to detail and a team player.
