Salary Range: 30,000 - 40,000

Job Duties

  • Create accurate and detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings using Autodesk Inventor and other manufacturing design software.
  • Prepare drawings and models for metal sheets, fabrication, balustrading, and gates, ensuring designs are practical and production-ready.
  • Interpret specifications, calculations, and project requirements to produce high-quality design outputs.
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Manager, Operations Manager, and drafting team to develop and refine concept drawings.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant manufacturing standards, fabrication practices, regulations, and company requirements.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and communicate potential design issues, providing practical solutions.
  • Prepare detailed documentation, assembly drawings, and parts lists for manufacturing.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in design efficiency and accuracy.
  • Perform other related drafting and design duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficient in Autodesk Inventor and similar design software for manufacturing.
  • Knowledge and experience in metal sheet design, fabrication processes, and workshop practices.
  • Experience with CAM software is a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge of Australian Standards for Balustrading and Gates is a bonus.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines with high accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic, adaptability, and keen attention to details.
