Responsible for delivering quality and efficient engineering, all areas of quality service delivery, delivery of multiple engineering projects, and working with construction and estimating teams.

Salary Range: 30,000 - 40,000
Work Set-Up: Work onsite | Mon-Fri | 6am - 3pm

Responsibilities:

  • Complete drawing mark-ups and reviews, and provide design advice to Project, Drafting, and Engineering teams.
  • Ensure quality assurance, compliance, certification, and improvement of the Engineering Departments processes and practices for continuous improvement.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the Project Management, Drafting, and Estimating teams.
  • Participate in new project initiatives.
  • Provide alternatives and approve plant and equipment selections.
  • Provide engineering support to Project Teams and carry out engineering designs and calculations.
  • Review design and workshop mechanical drawings for standards compliance, carry out a redesign and ensure compliance with the applicable Australian Standards.


Requirements:

  • 3 years minimum experience in the HVAC industry.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or equivalent.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and high attention to detail.
  • Has a sense of responsibility and is a team player.
  • Knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) and drafting skills would be an advantage.
  • Experience with Revit.
  • Proficient in HVAC design including heat loads, duct, and pipe static calculations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficient understanding of engineering practices and guidelines.
  • Understanding basic building codes and standards - knowing the basic principles - will then need to upskill in understanding the standards in Australia.
