JOB DUTIES

  • Participate in developing e-commerce websites on Big Commerce platform
  • Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand requirements and participate in planning the development roadmap
  • Be responsible for delivering optimized, fast loading, responsive, and highly functional website core vitals focused
  • Migrate websites from other e-commerce platforms to Big Commerce and install and customize new Big Commerce themes
  • Extending Big Commerce functionalities to the next level using storefront APIs, liquid programming, meta fields, etc.
  • Implementing SEO/CRO best practices in Big Commerce sites
  • Coding: Big Commerce, PHO, Json, HTML/CSS and JavaScript are all welcomed.
  • Front-end frameworks.
  • Web Hosting and DNS Management
  • Site migrations and redirections.
  • Creation of data Layer variables.
  • Perform other related tasks as required.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Hands-on experience with Big Commerce Stencil framework, Big Commerce theme development, and customization
  • A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices.
  • Proactive problem diagnosis and creative problem solving.
  • Basic understanding of SEO and CRO processes.
  • Knowledge of Big Commerce object/properties, API, and Meta fields
  • Familiarity with SEO/CRO best practices
  • Great technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent logical thinking and collaborative skills
  • Solid grip over testing and debugging using browser console and external tools
  • Proficient with developing responsive layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices
  • Fluent in English to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with NZ time zones
  • HTML & PHP
  • CSS/LESS/SASS
  • WordPress & Silverstripe experience - theme development & customization
  • Joomla and Drupal experience would be good
  • E-commerce (Big Commerce, Woo Commerce and Shopify)
  • JavaScript & jQuery, MYSQL
  • Understanding of version control systems such as Git, SVN
  • Server-side experience (LAMP & SSH)

The Work Set-Up:

  • Work onsite
  • 8 hour work shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Day shift (6am - 3pm)

Unit 1E, Philexcel Business Park Annex, Clark Freeport Zone, 2023, Pampanga, Philippines.
