Part-Time senior 3D CAD Drafter (Fusion 360) - Work from Home (U.S. Company)
We're GuildSteam, a Tennessee (US)-based company that connects global talent with US companies and we are seeking a skilled CAD Drafter with 3+ years experience in 3D modeling using Autodesk Fusion 360 to join our client's team. If you have the relevant experience, we would love to hear from you.
This is a part-time remote role.
Working Hours (Remote, Fixed Schedule):
4 Hours between 5:00 PM - 1:00 AM South Africa Standard Time (SAST) - flexible.
(Matching 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Mountain Time - US)
Starting Pay:
ZAR 2,800 per week
Part-time - 20 hours per week

What You'll Do:
Software: Autodesk Fusion 360
Primary Focus: 3D CAD modeling & technical drawings
Secondary (Optional): CNC routing, CAM setup, and 3D printing
- Convert hand-drawn sketches and concept drawings into 3D CAD models using Fusion 360.
- Generate technical drawings and assembly documentation for shop fabrication.
- Revise and update models/drawings based on feedback or design changes.
- Organize and manage project files in a structured and accessible format.
- Prepare CAM toolpaths for CNC or other digital fabrication equipment (Optional).
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Autodesk Fusion 360 with a focus on 3D CAD modeling (3+ years).
- Ability to read and interpret hand-drawn sketches and dimensioned drawings.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and assembly drawings.
- Experience in creating 2D drawings from 3D models in Fusion 360 for shop use and assembly.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain dimensional accuracy and design intent.
- Good communication skills for collaboration and feedback.
- Fluent English (verbal and written).
- Strong organizational, communication & time management skills.
- Reliable internet, functional computer and quiet work environment.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with parametric modeling in Fusion 360 (can be trained if necessary).
- Familiarity with CNC routing, sheet goods, and CAM setup in Fusion 360.
- Understanding of digital manufacturing workflows.
- Experience with 3D printing and additive manufacturing processes.
