Job Title: Financial Analyst / Senior Accountant - Corporate Accounting
Job Type: Contract, W-2
Location: Hybrid, Northbrook, IL - 3 days onsite per week
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented accounting professional to support global accounting operations, strengthen internal controls, and drive process improvements. This individual will play a key role in month-end close activities, cross-functional initiatives, and special projects. The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, collaborative, and comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
Perform variance analysis and investigate discrepancies
Maintain supporting documentation and schedules in compliance with SOX requirements
Support internal and external audit requests by providing requested materials and participating in walkthroughs and testing
Support maintenance of Oracle Account Reconciliation tools/portal
Contribute to accounting and finance initiatives, including system implementations, process improvements, enhancements, and special projects
Partner effectively with cross-functional and international teams
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Minimum 5 years of total accounting experience
Strong GAAP knowledge
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience working with cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment
Experience supporting improvement initiatives and process enhancements
Preferred Qualifications
CPA certification
Experience with Oracle ERP
Experience with Oracle ARCS
Experience with Kyriba
Ideal Background
Corporate accounting experience in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline
Comfortable balancing recurring close responsibilities with project-based work
Able to work independently while also partnering across teams globally
Compensation Information
The expected salary range for this position is $32 - $48 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. TalentFish is committed to pay transparency and equal opportunity. The salary range provided is in compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.
