Overview
TalentFish is casting a line for a Laboratory Assistant (2nd Shift Measuring Tech). This is a contract (W-2) role in Bentonville, AR. The reason this position exists is to support laboratory testing operations by processing samples, performing tests, recording and analyzing results, and assisting senior lab staff with equipment setup, test execution, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Bring to the Role (Ideal Experience)
Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field
Strong understanding of laboratory information systems and general laboratory equipment
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and operational instructions
Comfort working in a seated role using a computer and manual measuring tools (tape measure)
Basic technical aptitude with laboratory instruments and test equipment
Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document and explain test results
Ability to follow defined test plans, datasheets, and standard operating procedures
Willingness to work 2nd shift with training completed on 1st shift

What You'll Do (Skills Used in this Position)
Process laboratory samples, perform tests, and record and analyze results
Build and/or adapt basic test setups and equipment to support test execution
Perform tests using general laboratory equipment and tools
Perform routine care and maintenance of designated test equipment and work areas
Operate computer systems to input and extract test data using available software
Follow defined test plans and datasheets as directed
Evaluate test performance and sample operation to assess accuracy and quality of results
Record, interpret, and explain test results
Prepare charts, graphs, and reports to communicate findings
Examine test samples, read measuring instruments, and review data with supervisors
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and operational instructions
Examine customer samples and learn basic test procedures for each case
Communicate with customers during setup and operation to ensure proper evaluation
Operate designated laboratory equipment and tools
Receive instructions from engineers and lab technicians and report test data
Record observed and calculated data on appropriate data sheets
Develop working knowledge of job methods, instrumentation, and laboratory systems
Integrate continuous improvement concepts and techniques into daily work
Read and follow the Code of Conduct and all physical and digital security practices
Perform other duties as directed

Compensation Information
The expected pay range for this position is up to $15.00/hour, depending on experience and qualifications. This role is paid hourly as W-2.
