Base Salary: $160,000 - $220,000

Role summary
Hiring two Senior Software Platform Engineers for backend-leaning fullstack roles. This is a hands-on, high-ownership IC position focused on building SaaS applications from scratch. Ideal candidates are strong individual contributors with recent experience scaling backend systems in Python, deploying on AWS, and shipping production-grade SaaS.

Tech environment

• Languages: Python (preferred for backend), JavaScript/TypeScript

• Frameworks: Next.js, React

• Cloud: AWS

• Focus: Building SaaS applications, scalable backend APIs, infrastructure for CI/CD and deployments, security and data integrity

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable backend APIs and services (Python preferred)

• Build and manage infrastructure to support CI/CD and deployment

• Own backend decisions and contribute to fullstack features using Next.js/React

• Ensure security and data integrity across the platform

• Collaborate closely with product and design teams to iterate on features

Must-have qualifications

• 6 - 10 years total engineering experience, with recent IC work

• Actively coding and making backend technical decisions in the last 2 years

• Strong backend-first mindset; deep Python experience required

• Experience building and scaling SaaS applications (not just internal tools)

• Prior startup experience or elite product company background

• Strong CS fundamentals (CS degree or equivalent knowledge)

• Familiarity with AWS and devops tools (but not focused on ML or devops roles)

• Experience with React and Next.js preferred

• Currently at or approaching Staff/Tech Lead level or late-Senior stage

• Must be on-site 5 days/week in Sunnyvale

Preferred qualifications

• Experience as a Founding Engineer or early team member at a VC-backed startup

• Proven track record building backend systems in a high-autonomy environment

• History of transitioning from senior to staff-level responsibility

• Strong product intuition and ability to work independently from vague requirements

• Experience designing infrastructure for secure, enterprise-grade systems
