Overview

TalentFish is casting a line for a Workday Testing Consultant - Tax Specialist. This is a REMOTE 7-month contract role. The Workday Testing - Tax Specialist plays an essential role in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, while supporting payroll, accounting, and reporting processes. This position exists to provide subject matter expertise in tax compliance, reconciliation, and reporting accuracy. Candidates will be able to start this on 9/29/25 or 10/06/2025.

What You Bring to the Role (Ideal Experience)

• 3+ years of experience with testing Workday - tax compliance, payroll tax, or accounting

• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations

• Experience with tax reconciliations, filings, and audits

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in Excel and financial systems - Workday - nice to have UKG

• Ability to communicate complex tax issues to non-financial stakeholders

What You'll Do (Skills Used in this Position)

• Prepare, review, and file payroll tax returns and reports

• Reconcile payroll tax data to the general ledger and other systems

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws

• Research and resolve tax discrepancies, notices, and compliance issues

• Support the payroll team with quarterly and annual tax reporting

• Partner with external auditors and regulatory agencies as needed

• Guide on the tax implications of business changes

Compensation Information
The expected salary range for this position is $46-$80/hr, depending on experience and qualifications. This role also qualifies for comprehensive benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off. TalentFish is committed to pay transparency and equal opportunity.
