Overview

Help Desk Coordinator! This direct-hire opportunity is located in Mount Prospect, IL, with a hybrid schedule of three days per week onsite.

This position exists to provide high-quality Level 1 IT support to users across the organization, ensuring swift resolution of help desk issues and supporting day-to-day operations. The Help Desk Coordinator is critical in triaging technical concerns, assisting with onboarding, and supporting the broader IT team through documentation and hands-on troubleshooting.

What You Bring to the Role (Ideal Experience)

  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in a help desk or technical support role
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10/11 operating systems
  • Solid expertise in Microsoft 365 applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
  • Proficient in M365 Administration (mailbox delegation, distribution lists, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory
  • Familiarity with Cisco VPN and Microsoft Authenticator is a plus
  • Exposure to IBM iSeries systems is a plus
  • Experience with VOIP and phone system support is also a plus

What You'll Do (Skills Used in this Position)

  • Serve as the first point of contact for incoming IT help desk calls and emails
  • Perform Level 1 troubleshooting and escalate advanced issues to appropriate IT team members
  • Assist with new user setup and onboarding, including M365 account configuration and device reimaging
  • Support hardware and software setups, including barcode scanners and queue stations
  • Collaborate on IT projects and provide day-to-day end-user support
  • Create and maintain clear documentation for processes and technical tasks

Compensation Information

The expected salary range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This role also qualifies for comprehensive benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.

This role requires authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.
